The object of the Association is to promote and encourage the sport of archery and to provide support and services, to clubs and individuals who wish to practice Archery in all the established forms in this area. Cheshire Archery Association (CAA) was formed in 1954, when the then Cheshire and Lancashire Archery Association decided to form their own separate organisations. The first Annual General Meeting was held at 'The Saracen's Head' at Warburton, near Lymm.

04-Feb-2026 URGENT NOTICE Sadly, Jo is withdrawing from taking on this role, due to unforeseen circumstances so we will need to look again urgently as the AGM is almost upon us and we will need a secretary! Please ask around to see if one of your club members is willing to take the role on! The main responsibilities are: • Keeping and typing up minutes from meetings • Setting the agenda for meetings • Sending out the meeting details to clubs and committee members • Checking on meeting dates • AGM-minutes, agenda and awards • correspondence-usually emails these days • Checking CAA Sport 80 status It sounds a lot, but it really isn't-it takes less than an hour of my time per week on average, and some weeks none at all!
