Peter Galbraith Peter Galbraith sadly passed away on the night of the 27 th June 2021 after a short illness. Peter was one of life’s larger than life characters who had been at the heart of Junior Archery not only in his club, Bowmen of Bruntwood, but within the County and the Region for several years. His energy, enthusiasm and sheer determination will be sadly missed. Peter, was the County Junior Team manager for good many years providing a positive focus for Cheshire Juniors making them proud to shoot for the County at the Junior 5 Counties Championships and then the Cheshire v Lancashire Junior match. The Bowmen of Bruntwood Junior Tournament held in June was run to provide another focus for Juniors not only within his Club but for archers throughout the County. Although the Tournament was hit by some horrible weather on more than one occasion, I have fond memories for the Sweet Bags then Peter handed out at the end of the shoot to every Junior competing. It always brough a smile to Juniors and their parents. Peter also set up and ran the Cheshire Junior Leagues and the NCAS Junior Leagues which proved very popular with clubs and their Junior, again providing a focus over the Winter months for Juniors.
